House of Time is looking to add to our creative team. We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator and Administrator who will help us create original content that captures and shares the depth and breadth of our services. An ideal candidate will have experience creating original content, some knowledge of the watchmaking industry or experience working with luxury products. 

 

Responsibilities (>70% Primary – Social Media Content Creation):

  • Use on-site content development to create images and videos appropriate to use on social mediate platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, others TBD.

  • Collaborate with House of Time owners to develop content in alignment with high-end watch brand’s policies.

  • Develop a social mediate content calendar and post content on an established basis.

  • Ability to effectively navigate photo editing and video editing software to create clear and concise content.

  • Manage existing web site, manage online inventory, and participate in redesign process with contractor, if need arises.

  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies, such as ChatGPT or AI, into the marketing scope.

  • Knowledge of taking macro-shots of a technical nature.

Responsibilities (<30% Secondary - Administrative):

  • Serving walk-in clients with service intake requests or watch purchases.

  • Occasional phone-answering and after-sales service follow-up phone calls.

  • Occasional support of technical staff (cleaning, inventory tracking, spare parts review).

  • No expectation of sales.

 

Requirements:

  • Honest, self-motivated, technologically savvy, luxury-minded, and creative individual.

  • Ability to pass background check.

  • Authorized to work within the United States.

  • Ability to pass drug testing.

  • Camera equipment and computer will be provided.

Salary and Hours:

  • $43,000 - $52,000 per year.

  •  Full-time on-site position, Tuesdays through Saturdays between 10am and 6pm.

  • 10 personal days for first 12 months, 15 personal days after first year. Vacation week for Thanksgiving and December 24th-January 3rd.

House of Time is looking to expand our technical team. We are looking for at least one Technical Apprentice (Watchmaking, Polishing, Clockmaking) who wants to begin the journey towards mastering the craft. An ideal candidate will have little-to-no experience in the field of watchmaking, polishing, or clockmaking as we are looking to build a competent, well-rounded individual from the ground up. The skills taught will be on-par with Swiss techniques and expectations.

 

You will have the full support of our three certified watchmakers (one of whom is Swiss trained and a former technical trainer), one certified polisher, encasing technician (watchmaking apprentice), administrator, and clockmaker to develop your skills through training and extensive repetition.

 

Responsibilities (Primary):

  • Spend the first 3-6 months developing dexterity through micromechanics projects that include, but are not limited to filing, sawing, drilling, tapping, heat treatment (bluing and tempering), lathe work, and mill work.

  • Get familiar with workshop practices and high-end brand policies.

  • Perform case dismantling, case-preparation, water-resistance testing, quartz movement testing, and some basic battery services for up to 18 months.

  • Spare-parts inventory management.

  • Organization of spare parts and raw materials.

  • Some occasional client interaction might be needed.

 

Requirements:

  • SAFETY STARTS WITH SELF-RESPONSIBILITY: constant use of safety procedures to protect eyes, fingers, hands, lungs, and more.

  • MUST have a passion for our craft.

  • MUST be willing to dedicate an indeterminate amount of time (possibly years) to training.

  • MUST be detail-oriented. 

  • MUST be honest.

  • Should have current knowledge of many of the well-renowned brands with whom we have parts accounts.

  • Ability to pass background check.

  • Authorized to work within the United States.

  • Ability to pass drug testing.

  • All tools will be provided.

  

Salary and Hours:

  • $25,000 - $40,000 per year, with ability to move up very quickly based on performance.

  • Full-time on-site position, Tuesday-Saturday between 10am and 6pm.

  • 10 personal days for first 12 months, 15 personal days after first year. Vacation week for Thanksgiving and December 24th-January 3rd.
